Whether you want to get away, celebrate an event or host a business meeting, Badhotel Rockanje aan Zee on the island Voorne in Zuid-Holland is the place to be. Located in the beautiful woods of Voornes Duin, 400 meters from the beach, we offer all sorts of facilities, our only goal is to make your stay as pleasant as possible.
The Badhotel is located approximately 400 meters from the North Sea. When entrepreneur Lucas Petit bought this hotel in 2000, he realized that he didn’t bought just a hotel.
When the Badhotel opened its doors for the first time (In the late sixties, early seventies) the hotel was known to be very luxurious and dignified. In these years Rockanje was already very popular for its peace, nature and beach. When the first owner of the hotel decided to sell the Badhotel, many new owner came and went. None of these owner invested in the Badhotel, because of this the hotel lost its good reputation, for the time being.
In 2000 Lucas Petit decided that something had to be done with his brand new hotel, and fully renovated it. The hotel is surrounded by pines, something like you would see in an American lodge, You stay in the dunes and forest, you smell the pinecones, woods and dune grass when you open your window or stand on your balcony. Our whole hotel is designed to fit the location, so it has a distinctive Lodge style, which you will see throughout the entire hotel: the colours in the rooms are warm red, camel and black. You’ll also find matching details in your room, like friendly teddy bear heads or deer antlers on the wall.
When you look out your window you’ll smell the sea, and see the nature, swimming pool or the tennis court, which will give you that typical holiday feeling. Our lovely staff will be at your service your entire stay, and will definitely do their best to enhance that holiday feeling. When the weather is good they’ll serve your breakfast, lunch or dinner on our poolside terrace. When you’re not hungry or thirsty you can work on your tan on the sunbeds, or go for a swim in our swimming pool. When the weather is not so great you can always sit around our inside fireplace, to keep nice and warm.
The distance from our hotel to the beach is just 400 meters, so you can easily go there by bike or foot. When you do want to go outside but not to the beach you can go explore Voornes Duin, which is the beautiful environment by which the Badhotel is surrounded. After a tiring day you can relax in our sauna, or let our chef surprise you with dishes full of local products.
