Enjoy the beach, dunes, forest and our cosy brasserie together with your dog.
Welcome, loyal four-legged friend! Are you ready to head out together? From Badhotel Rockanje, you can be among the trees, dunes, walking trails and the beach in no time. Perfect for a fresh morning walk, a longer route or simply enjoying the sea breeze with your nose in the wind.
On this page, you will find tips for walking with your dog around Rockanje, useful beach information and inspiration for lovely routes in the area. Dog rules may differ per area and season, so always check the signs along the way.
Out together, all year round
Every season has something beautiful to offer here. In winter, you can enjoy the fresh sea air together, in spring nature comes back to life, in summer the evenings by the sea are lovely, and in autumn the dune paths turn beautifully colourful.
In the area, you will find several dog-friendly routes. In parts of the Annabos, your dog is allowed to run off-leash where this is indicated. In Voornes Duin, dogs are generally walked on a leash through one of the most beautiful nature reserves in the area. The beach is also within walking distance of the hotel.
Taking your dog to the beach
Outside the summer season, there is extra space for dogs on the beach of Rockanje. From April to September, daytime restrictions apply on the main beach. Luckily, early in the morning and in the evening, you can still enjoy a lovely walk by the sea together.
Always check the signs at the beach entrances for the current rules. That way, you know exactly where your dog is welcome, where your dog needs to stay on the leash and where off-leash walking may be allowed.
